Entry Level Offshore Jobs -
Where the Adventurous Go To Work
Entry level offshore jobs are some of the last great, high-paying opportunities available without a formal
education or formal apprenticeship program. This isn't to say that training is not required, but the vast majority
of training for entry level positions can take place on the job. At the Entry Level Offshore Jobs
website, we'll show you how.
Career prospects are simply incredible looking forward. The world is running out of cheap oil; however, there is
much still available in the hard-to-get places around the globe: the North Sea, the Southern Atlantic, even the
Arctic Circle. With major fields around the middle east and Mexico entering terminal decline, the United
States will open up offshore drilling and exploration as never before.
Adding to the exciting prospects, over half the current oil industry workforce will be retiring in the next 10
years, creating a huge wave of job openings. Essentially, anyone who wants to work in this field will be able
to. Globally, demand for oil is projected to increase every year, with demand overtaking supply in only a few
short years, leading to permanent high prices for oil and gas.
This will add further pressure need for exploration and production increases, and will drive the need
for more jobs and people to fill them. The Minerals Management Service (MMS) has projected
that deepwater drilling alone will sustain between 80,000 and 100,000 jobs by 2011.
An ambitious, hard-working performer can move up the ladder rapidly, to a nice 6-figure salary level in well
under 10 years - or less. Few high paying opportunities like this exist outside of sales, and of course the person
attracted to the adrenaline rush and excitement of drilling for oil, whether onshore or offshore, probably isn't
the suit and tie kind of guy.
Browse through the site, learn all you can, and we will do all we can to help you land a job in the oil
industry!
